Dubai Maritime City Authority discussed the proposed ‘Maritime Safety Policy’ which was recently approved by the Dubai Executive Council’s Health and Safety Committee, as part of initiatives of the Maritime Sector Strategy which is the first of its kind in Dubai aimed at developing, organizing and promoting the maritime sector.
The new policy underscores the commitment of local government authorities to reinforce Dubai’s position as one of the leading global maritime hubs by focusing on developing all aspects related to maritime development, including maritime safety which requires further improving the infrastructure while taking into account the need to boost the levels of efficiency and competence to ensure the safety of workers, passengers and visitors.
